Test Events Manager
Lead high-impact test events from planning to reporting, bringing teams together to deliver reliable results, solve issues, and improve how products and programs perform.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality test events for products, systems, and operational programs. This role manages test event strategy, schedules, resources, stakeholders, documentation, and reporting to ensure testing is executed efficiently and produces reliable, actionable results.
Test Events Manager Responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive test event plans, schedules, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables.
Coordinate test events from planning and preparation through execution, evaluation, issue resolution, and final reporting.
Partner with engineering, product, quality assurance, operations, program management, and external stakeholders to align testing requirements and priorities.
Define test scenarios, procedures, resources, equipment, facilities, environments, and participant requirements.
Lead event readiness reviews and confirm that personnel, systems, materials, documentation, and logistics are prepared.
Manage test event calendars, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, and change requests.
Facilitate test execution and ensure activities follow approved plans, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Track test results, defects, incidents, risks, corrective actions, and follow-up activities through closure.
Coordinate data collection, analysis, validation, and interpretation of test event outcomes.
Prepare clear test event reports, dashboards, status updates, lessons learned, and recommendations for leadership.
Identify process improvements that increase test coverage, operational efficiency, repeatability, and reporting accuracy.
Maintain accurate test documentation, records, schedules, approvals, and lessons learned in accordance with organizational requirements.
Support cross-functional reviews and communicate schedule changes, constraints, issues, and decisions to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, project management, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing test events, operational events, product testing, quality assurance, technical programs, or related activities.
Experience developing project plans, schedules, test plans, procedures, and status reports.
Strong knowledge of event coordination, risk management, issue tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, dependencies, and cross-functional workstreams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
Proficiency with project management, collaboration, scheduling, and reporting tools.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing large-scale technical tests, demonstrations, exercises, field trials, or operational evaluations.
Experience with test management, defect tracking, requirements management, or quality management systems.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster, or similar certification.
Experience working in a regulated, technical, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, healthcare, software, or research environment.
Knowledge of data analysis, performance measurement, process improvement, or root cause analysis.
Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, customers, or geographically distributed teams.
