Manage, FP&A Test
We are seeking a skilled financial planning and analysis professional to support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, management reporting, business performance analysis, and strategic decision-making. This role collaborates with finance, accounting, business leaders, operations, and other stakeholders to provide accurate financial insights, improve planning processes, evaluate business performance, and support responsible resource allocation.
Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, quarterly forecasting, and recurring financial planning processes.
Develop, maintain, and improve financial models, forecasts, scenarios, and planning tools to support business and strategic decisions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages, including variance analysis, financial results, performance trends, and key business metrics.
Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, prior periods, and strategic objectives; identify drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Partner with department leaders and business stakeholders to develop operating plans, expense budgets, headcount plans, revenue forecasts, and capital expenditure projections.
Provide financial analysis and decision support for pricing, investments, strategic initiatives, business cases, cost management, and resource allocation.
Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and other decision-makers.
Monitor key performance indicators, financial drivers, operational metrics, and business trends to assess performance and support continuous improvement.
Establish and maintain financial planning processes, reporting standards, analytical methodologies, and internal controls.
Coordinate with accounting teams during month-end and quarter-end close to validate financial results, accruals, allocations, and reporting accuracy.
Reconcile planning assumptions and financial data across enterprise resource planning, accounting, reporting, and business intelligence systems.
Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, financial visibility, and automation of recurring analysis.
Develop dashboards, presentations, management reports, and ad hoc analyses for senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Lead or support special projects, financial transformation initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional business analyses.
Document financial models, assumptions, methodologies, processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, management reporting, financial modeling, accounting, business analysis, or related work.
Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, expense management, and performance analysis.
Experience building and maintaining financial models using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable spreadsheet and planning tools.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, financial statements, accruals, allocations, and accounting close processes.
Experience analyzing revenue, operating expenses, headcount, cash flow, capital expenditures, profitability, or other financial and operational metrics.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including business leaders and executive stakeholders.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet reporting deadlines, maintain data accuracy, and work effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Experience managing or mentoring financial analysts, leading planning processes, or coordinating cross-functional finance initiatives.
Experience with financial planning and analysis software such as Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle Hyperion, IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, or comparable platforms.
Experience with enterprise resource planning, accounting, customer relationship management, business intelligence, or data visualization systems.
Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, SQL, or comparable technologies.
Experience developing driver-based forecasts, scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses, financial dashboards, and executive reporting.
Experience supporting strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, investment analysis, pricing analysis, business cases, or operational transformation initiatives.
Professional credentials such as Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Management Accountant, or comparable qualifications.

Work Environment and Expectations
Work is generally performed in an office, remote, or hybrid environment and requires collaboration with finance, accounting, operations, sales, marketing, human resources, product, technology, and executive leadership teams.
Work may require extended periods of focused analysis, spreadsheet and financial system use, presentations, collaboration across time zones, and additional effort during budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and management reporting cycles.
